Karast Maát Kwanzaa Celebration 2008

Karast Maát Kwanzaa

December 27, 2008 marked the 3rd annual observance of the Karast Maát Kwanzaa.  This is the twelve day ritual observance that combines the seven days of traditional Kwanzaa with five additional days that are added to the beginning starting on December 21st coinciding with the winter solstice.  This year’s celebration was held at the beautiful Wilfandel House, which is

WCPPIInauguration of WCPPI

On April 5th, 2008 Sons of Ra Ministries participates with ShadeTree Multicultural Foundation in the inauguration of the World Community Prophecy and Planning Institute (WCPPI).  This historic event coincides with the 40 Year Anniversary of the transition of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr and acknowledges his vision of the Promise Land as being at hand.

Induction of New Members

New MembersOn March 22nd, 2008 in alignment with the vernal equinox and the Easter Resurrection, the Sacred Order of the Sons of Ra inducts twelve (12) new members.  Honoring Reverend Richard Meri Ka Ra Byrd as Esteemed Elder and Orland Bishop as Esteemed Teacher.  In subsequent ceremonies other new members were acknowledged thereby bringing the total number of members to 23.
